Regularity News Historic Acropolis Rally 2026 – Regularity: Interest is reaching its peak!
Only a few hours remain until the deadline for participation entries in the Historic Acropolis Rally Regularity expires, with 42 crews having already secured their place in this year’s event, which will take place from May 22 to May 24. Competitors in the third round of the Hellenic Regularity Championship are required to maintain with absolute precision the prescribed Average Speeds throughout the special stages, passing through hidden timing points as close as possible to the ideal time. The event has a coefficient of 2.5, offering increased scoring value and significant points for the crews that achieve distinction.

This year’s edition of the event promises a unique competitive “Odyssey”, leading crews and historic cars through authentic routes and areas far off the beaten path, in an experience that combines strategy, precision, and adventure. These are routes that, during the 1960s and 1970s, formed part of the legendary World Acropolis Rally and have since remained almost forgotten in time. These stages differ from the classic, close-to-start, and well-known special stages of the Acropolis Rally, such as Bralos, Tarzan, Moschokarya, Palaiokastro, and Palaia Giannitsa. This year’s event dives deep into authentic mountainous Greece, through the routes of Agrafa, Argithea, Acheloos, and Vracha. From Kleitso and Neraida to Sarantaporo and Katafygio, and from Agrafiotis and Megdovas to Raptopoulo, Hohlia, and Diavati.

These routes have a distinct historical and natural character, having remained for decades away from the competitive spotlight, and now returning to highlight a different and authentic side of the Acropolis Rally. Essentially, participants will discover perhaps the most unexplored and authentic part of Greece, through a route of unparalleled natural beauty, where the history of the Acropolis Rally meets the wild charm of the Greek landscape. The Acropolis Rally, after all, has always been a legendary event where endurance and crew cooperation were the key to success.

The Administrative and Technical Scrutineering for crews based in Attica will take place on Wednesday, May 20 at the KIKTEO Kόmbos Amarousiou (2 Granikou Street, Marousi) from 17:00 to 20:00. The process for the remaining crews will take place at the Lamia International Fair on Friday, May 22 from 08:00 to 11:00.
The start of the rally will be given on Friday, May 22 at 13:00 at the Lamia International Fair grounds, with the first leg covering a total of 248 kilometers. In the second leg, crews will start from the enchanting Lake Plastira and cover a total of 350 kilometers, while the rally will conclude on Sunday, May 24, in a leg where crews will cover a total of 394 kilometers. The finish will take place under the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis. In total, the rally includes 26 precision tests, which will determine the overall winners of this year’s event.
